THIS IS A 6 MINUTE CARTOON FEATURE THAT HAS A CHARACTER CALLED OSWALD THE RABBIT A PREDESSOR TO MICKY MOUSE.THIS LOST WALT DISNEY CARTOON WAS FOUND BY A RESEARCHER AT BFI NATIONAL ARCHIVES ONLINE CATALOGUE.WALT DISNEY ANIMATION STUDIO HAS RESTORED THIS 1926 CARTOON AND IT WILL BE SCREENED 87  YEARS FOR THE FRIST TIME AT A LONDON PREMIRE IN DECEMBER 12 2015.

MR SMITHERS OUT OF THE CLOSET.

THIS IS THE LACKEY CHARACTER WHO LOOKS AFTER MR BURNS.WAYLON SMITHERS HAS BEEN IN THE SHOW SINCE 1985 AND THE PRODUCER OF THE SHOW AL JEAN HAS HINTED THAT SMITHERS FINALLY REVEALS TO MR C.MONTOGOMERY-MONTY-BURNS HE IS GAY.

ARE CARTOONS RACISTS?

 Amazon Prime are stating that cartoon -Tom and Jerry -slapstick cartoon show racial prejudices that were once common place in American society.Mainly due to the character -Mammy Two Shoes-apron wearing black woman in episodes 1940-1952 but can be argued this is us judging the past by our present values .Even walt disney  is no innocent -king louie - jive talking orangutan or  aladdin with a lyric about Arabs cuttinf off your ears.In Rupert The Bear,1940,s an island of black people called gollies  stealing  noddy s ears.Yes all wrong but take a look at some of the modern cartoons as an example  Family Guy who in the show  have a  character with a name similar like pervert and hangs around boys.Like most things you find disconcerting just switch off.

SUPERMAN ISSUE 1 SELLS FOR A RECORD.

A very preserved  copy of first SUPERMAN comic sold for 3.2 million$ or 1.9 million £ ,a record  for a comic according to e bay.SUPERMAN first appeared in ACTION COMICS ISSUE 1-cost 10 cents ,1938.

ART IS WEIRD.

You find cartoon art in the weirdest places.This was done at weirdweekend 15 at small school ,hartland were if you visit you can see the pupils art.The man in picture is not a jonny bravo lookalike but  nick who just finished doing bugsfest--check out on facebook. The dionsaur was byShoshannah McCarthy,the hilter look cartoon by richard freeman,i am the one  who draw cat and dude and made board an art board.

5 -4 -3 -2 -1 THUNDERBIRDS IS BACK-F.A.B

The series is coming back via a revamp to be callled -Thunderbirds are go-i think.The original programme was made in the sixies by Gerry Anderson and his wife and was shown on I.T.V.This time around C.G.I  will be addded to Live-Action Models and Puppets.

DANGERMOUSE RETURNS

Back from time forgotten is Danermouse with sidekick Penfold-who came third in a Penfold lok alike contest-voiced
by Terry Scott -no longer with us.T o be broadcast on C.B.B.C in 2015. Danermouse was voiced by Sir  David Jason.

CARTOONS A FORM OF ART?

I like to draw mainly tattoo art and cartoons.I am  not saying there are very good, but the art is a strange beast to one person -a cow sawn in half and put in chemicals is art to others its normal art.Cartoon art has been around for decades and has been used as propaganda device during wars,poking fun at governments.My cartoons are just a bit of fun with the odd dig at society and I use it as a form of expressing and maybe others will like them.I am in Gonzo Weekly too my surprise and this blog, no i never get rich doing then but at least i am in the public eye and not many artist can say that.So i hope you enjoy them as much as i do drawing them,thanks mark raines
